Pricing Information

To VAT or not to VAT?

As you wander through our pages and products, and consider making a purchase or ten, you will notice three little letters time and again...VAT! Value Added Tax is a sales tax levied on products and services sold in the UK and EU. Strangely, even though books are exempt from VAT, audiobooks (and e-books) still have VAT on them, and at the full rate! The EU is looking at dropping the rate to just 5%, but for now, if you are buying an audiobook from us and you live in the UK or the EU we are very sorry to say you will have to pay VAT on top of the sales price. To help, we have lowered our prices to keep them competitive and good value. Lobby your MP to ensure the VAT cut is made soon - it is a decision for each country's government.
